The last three years have been quite challenging for the Oil and Gas industry. Specific events notwithstanding, industry business cycles are becoming larger and faster. Come learn from Mr. John Rynd, president and CEO, Hercules Offshore, how he shepherded the company during difficult times and how he has positioned the company for the business uptrend that is beginning to take shape.                        


Headquartered in Houston, Hercules Offshore has over 2300 employees, and operates a fleet of 43 jackup rigs, 17 barge rigs, 63 liftboats, two submersible rigs, and one platform rig. The Company offers a range of services to oil and gas producers to meet their needs during drilling, well service, platform inspection, maintenance, and decommissioning operations in several key shallow water provinces around the world. Hercules Offshore shares of common stock are traded on the NASDAQ Global Select Market under the symbol “HERO.”

About Our Speaker

John T. Rynd

President and CEO

Hercules Offshore

 

Mr. Rynd was named Chief Executive Officer and President of Hercules Offshore in June 2008. In addition, he serves as a member of the Board of Directors for the Company. Mr. Rynd has served in various executive level positions since joining Hercules Offshore in September 2005.

Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Rynd spent 11 years with Noble Drilling Services, Inc., where he served in a variety of management roles, including Vice President Investor Relations and Vice President Marketing and Contracts. Mr. Rynd also served in various management roles at Chiles Offshore, culminating in Vice President of Marketing. His experience also encompasses 10 years of service for Rowan Companies Inc., where he served in various roles of increasing levels of responsibility on offshore rigs.


Mr. Rynd serves on the Board of Directors and Nominating Committee for National Ocean Industries Association (NOIA), the Executive Committee of the International Association of Drilling Contractors (IADC), the Board of Directors for Ocean Energy Center (OEC), the Board of Directors for Hornbeck Offshore, Inc., the Advisory Board for Spindletop International Charities and the Board of Directors for Compressor Engineering Corporation (CECO).
                       

Mr. Rynd graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics.

On-site registration and payment entails a $10 processing fees.

 

CANCELLATION POLICY:

For VISITORS: Sorry, we do not offer refunds to visitors or prospective members. You are welcome to send a substitute (please let us know at least 72 hours prior to the event).

 

FOR GENERAL MEMBERS: If you let us know at least 72 hours prior, we will credit your HSF account for the fees, so you can apply the fees toward a future event.

 

FOR STRATEGIC MEMBERS: Strategic Members attend all events for no charge (if registered in time). Since Strategic Membership is tied to specific individuals, substitutions are not allowed if you cannot make it to the event.
