Chief revenue officer at world’s largest airline to discuss growth strategies with Houston-area executives
HOUSTON- The top man responsible for growing revenues at the world’s largest airline will discuss some of the tools and tactics he uses at the September Houston Strategy Forum luncheon on Thursday.
Jim Compton, executive vice president and chief revenue officer for United Airlines, will share some of the levers and constraints he uses in his duties overseeing sales, marketing, and revenue management. United became the world’s largest airline after its recent merger with Continental Airlines.
“At this month’s luncheon, we’ll be discussing a topic that is on the minds of most executives who are looking to find ways to drive revenues as we come out of the recent economic downturn,” said Ravi Kathuria, founder and president of the Houston Strategy Forum. “Every company must understand and proactively exercise its revenue levers. Mr. Compton will share what those levers are and how executives can pull them. We expect a lively discussion.”
The Houston Strategy Forum (HSF) is an organization for corporate executives that helps its members gain real-world, practical insights into solving their management and leadership challenges.
As with previous luncheons, Kathuria and the guest speaker will facilitate an interactive, group discussion on the topic. The August 18 luncheon will be from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the HESS Club, 5430 Westheimer. Visitors’ tickets range from $55 to $90. Tickets and additional information are available at HoustonStrategyForum.com. Advanced registration is required because seating is limited.
The Houston Strategy Forum is sponsored by Agama Advertising, Cohegic Corporation and CyrusOne.
